Lt Commander: 6 year, 13.1, POA gelding I have had the gelding for about a year and was told he hadn’t been ridden for about 2 years before we got him. He was a stallion until Spring 2007. My son who is 15 yrs just got on him and rode him without any problems. I am very impressed with this pony; he has been trailer a few times and loads okay but it is something new for him. My son has started jumping him and he is doing great; jumped 2’ like it is a trot pole. One of my favorite things about this pony is that he is not to forward or lazy. If asked him to stand, he will stand on a loose rein with no movement until he is asked to do something again. Listens to legs and goes into the gait well but does not try and go faster than you ask. He is fine to trim (don’t know if he has ever been shoed) and is sound. Cyst removed from under jaw this spring; otherwise no health problems. Not spooky but has not been a lot of places or done a lot of things. He loves attention and is very sweet. He is fine when turned about with mares; my gelding and him are very aggressive toward each other across the fence so I have not turned him out with him. He had been kept in a pasture with a lot of horses when he was a stallion; the only problem I have had with him is being a little gait bound and wanting to break his canter at the gait. PEGASUS EVENT CENTER
The new Pegasus Event Center indoor arena and stalls are approaching completion. Stalls already available for occupancy. We have 18 12x12 stalls connected to the arena. Board will be $250 per month for the first year plus full care. We feed either alfalfa or grass hay according to the owner’s preference, twice a day. Any supplements or grain need to be supplied by the owner but will be fed by Pegasus staff. All horses will have daily turnout in large turnout pens unless otherwise requested by owners.

Other Pegasus amenities available to boarders include: use of three outdoor fenced training arenas - one grass exercise arena, one large grass arena set up with stadium jumps at all times, and one dirt barrel racing arena; and the 80 acre cross country course.

Grantsville is a very horsey town and Clark Street, which boarders the front of the Pegasus property, is actually a designated horse way leading directly to the mountains west of town.

Grantsville is only 35 miles west of downtown Salt Lake via I-80. There is only one stoplight between the entrance to I-80 off 6th South in Salt Lake; the entrance to Pegasus is on Race Street in Grantsville. For more info on boarding/training , call 435-830-7365.
